Handmade Pottery Shard Necklace

A little piece of pottery, given a second life.

Each necklace is made from a shard of my own handmade pottery that didn’t quite make it, whether that’s a cracked mug, a broken piece or something that simply wasn’t destined for the shelf.

Rather than throwing it away, I break the pottery into smaller pieces and tumble the shards until the edges become beautifully smooth, almost like sea pottery. I then choose my favourite pieces and turn them into completely one-of-a-kind necklaces.

Because every shard comes from a different piece of pottery, no two necklaces will ever be exactly the same. The necklace pictured is the exact one you’ll receive.
