Handmade Pottery Shard Earrings

A little piece of pottery, given a second life.

Each pair of earrings is made from shards of my own handmade pottery that didn’t quite make it, whether that’s a cracked mug, a broken piece or something that simply wasn’t destined for the shelf.

Instead of throwing it away, I break the pottery into smaller pieces and tumble the shards until the edges become beautifully smooth, almost like sea pottery. I then pair up my favourite pieces and turn them into completely unique dangly earrings.

Because every shard started life as a handmade piece of pottery, each pair will have its own shape, glaze and markings. The pair pictured is the exact pair you’ll receive.
